Waking Among Cobalts. Oil on linen. 100 x 150 cm. 2026
In this painting, two bodies rest on a floral-patterned blanket that transforms an everyday scene into an artificial garden built almost entirely through color.
The composition is organized around a subtle X-shaped structure that connects the two figures. The floral pattern is treated with varying levels of definition depending on the pictorial plane, alternating more open passages with denser areas. Deep blacks and cast shadows help organize the space, while the entire composition embraces the flesh, allowing the bodies to stand out without disrupting the overall harmony.
The two figures barely touch. They simply seem to share the same space. For me, that became another excuse to paint: flesh, light, color, and the balance between two bodies.
This piece will be sent directly from my studio, carefully packed by me.
Shipping is included (For Spain and Europe, this format is shipped in a wooden box. For all other destinations, the artwork is shipped rolled in a tube, with the wooden stretcher bars included).
The artwork is signed and comes with its certificate of authenticity.
