In this 100 x 81 cm piece on linen, I confront the geometric rigidity of the background with the organic drape of the body, using the interlude of the wooden floor as a link.
I was interested in exploring how the female figure integrates or breaks against those faceted and abstract sheets—almost architectural—and how the wooden background anchors the composition. I’m not looking for realism; I’m looking for static tension. The saturated cobalt blue of the dress acts as a visual magnet that contrasts with the warm flesh tones and the off-whites of the sheets, where vibrant outlines with subtle neons seek to give life and vibration to the flat stain.
This piece will be sent directly from my studio, carefully packed by me.
