In this painting, the figure appears awake and gathered within large areas of cobalt blue that organize the space and surround the body.
The composition emerges from simplicity and intimacy. The direct gaze introduces a quiet presence that contrasts with the more dynamic movement of the fabrics and their geometric rhythms, creating a balance between calm and visual tension.
Blue functions here as both atmosphere and structure. More than a background, the fabrics construct the space and accompany the figure, allowing body and environment to merge within the same relationship of color and form.
The work is developed through a search for truth and synthesis, avoiding excessive narrative and allowing posture, light, and color to sustain the visual experience.
This piece will be sent directly from my studio, carefully packed by me.
