“Suspension over the ground”. Oil on canvas, 30×40 cm.
“Suspension over the ground” captures the moment where the body finds repose on the ground, yet conveys a sense of suspended tension. In this piece, I play with light and shadow contrasts to create depth and volume, inviting the viewer to complete the emotional narrative. The figure merges with the space through pastel tones and subtle brushstrokes, exploring how color variations can build an intimate, enveloping atmosphere.
Defined, graphic color planes counterbalance the softness of the figure, creating a harmonious composition that invites contemplation and allows the viewer to explore the interaction between the body’s gesture and the empty space around it. This balance between stillness and dynamism aims to offer the viewer an open door to their own interpretation.
