This painting begins just after the burning.
The figure rests within the same red stripes that once flared like fire — but the gesture now has changed. It’s quieter, more intimate, more surrendered.
In Resting Flame, the color still burns, but its voice is softer. The brushwork is direct, the light lays gently across the skin, and the composition folds inward. The energy doesn’t disappear — it evolves.
This is a painting that breathes with less urgency. A flame that doesn’t go out, just learns how to stay.
This piece will be sent directly from my studio, carefully packed by me.
