Part of The Sleepers II, a series that returns to themes of exhaustion, rest, and the strange relationship between the body and sleep. In this piece, I was interested in confronting an image of stillness and disconnection with a much more vibrant colour exercise. Oranges, yellows, and reds move through the image and shift its emotional weight somewhere else.

Part of The Sleepers II. This piece appeared at a strange moment within the series. Sheets and stripes began to expand until they almost took over the image, pushing it toward a more tangled space where the figure started losing ground to structure.

For a while I considered following that path further, exploring sheets, patterns, and increasingly complex images. But the opposite happened. This painting ended up becoming a point of return: the moment I realised I wanted to come back to the body.

This piece will be sent directly from my studio, carefully packed by me.
The artwork is signed and comes with its certificate of authenticity.
