Medusa in Red. Oil on canvas. 30 x 30 cm. 2026
Part of The Sleepers II. In this piece I was especially interested in the contrast between the calmness of the face and the energy of the hair. While the figure rests, the hair begins to take over the image in an almost autonomous way, expanding and creating forms that eventually reminded me of a small Medusa.
I was also interested in working through a tension of temperatures. Cool blues in the skin coexist with intense reds, earth tones, and warm light, creating an image where rest and energy happen at the same time.
This piece will be sent directly from my studio, carefully packed by me.
The artwork is signed and comes with its certificate of authenticity.
