Blue has been present in my work for years. Here, I wanted to take it a step further and connect it to sleep — letting blue fold in on itself, forming a slow, almost breathing spiral.
Beneath that surface, a different pulse emerges. A neon pink and orange underpainting that doesn’t seek attention, yet persists through small strokes and transparencies, in the moving folds of the sheets, reminding us that even in rest there is something alive.
The body withdraws as color turns around it, wrapping and holding it within a firm, contained composition.
This is a painting meant to inhabit a space and change it over time. It doesn’t demand immediate attention; it works best when allowed to exist quietly, accompanying daylight, becoming part of everyday rhythm.
