Description
Blue and Pink Cut. Oil on canvas. 21 x 30 cm.
Sometimes my work asks me to step away from long processes to focus on direct resolution. This piece is an excuse to push the brushwork and see how far I can take color without the structure of the face collapsing. Despite the inevitable narrative, what I’m looking for is the power of an electric blue clashing with an acid pink, letting the stroke remain quick, raw, and evident. It is pure painting, with no other pretension than exploring volume through chromatic collision.
